In your original post you showed that you already have UDP 3544 forwarded, which is good.

I've seen a handful of routers that if they have a IPv6 address on the WAN interface, they determine that Teredo is not needed and block UDP 3544 until you update settings to explicitly allow Teredo when IPv6 is present. That's the port that Xbox One uses to connect to the Teredo servers to generate an IP address. First possible issue is that your home gateway is blocking UDP 3544. There are a couple of issues that come to mind could be causing the problems you're seeing. If you're consistently getting this error message, this sounds less like a NAT issue and more like an issue with your console being unable to connect to the Teredo servers to obtain a Teredo IP address, test the NAT, etc. I expect that the error you saw was your console failed to obtain a Teredo IP Address. Call of Duty, Destiny, etc.) When UPnP is working, the console will request those additional port mappings as needed. However, there are some games that use additional ports, so you would need to open up ports for those titles as well (e.g. By configuring port forwarding for UDP 3074 on your gateway, that should open up the NAT for most games as well as Party Chat. UPnP is the ideal solution for NAT traversal for consoles since the console can request port mappings for whatever ports a game needs.

Running the advanced multiplayer test suite includes forcing Xbox to do a full re-test of the NAT type.Īnd on the note of UPnP, please make sure that UPnP is enabled on your Techicolor gateway. Ok, so why did we do the advanced multiplayer test? Xbox One will test what NAT type is present periodically, but if you made changes to your router's configuration (like port forwarding, enabling UPnP, etc.) you want to get your Xbox to do a full re-test of the NAT type. In that scenario it's called a "double NAT", where the console can talk to the first router it's connected to in order to request ports be opened, but it can't talk to the second router to ask the same. The reason why I ask is it's not uncommon to have setups where your Xbox One is connecting to a router you purchased (like a Netgear, Linksys, etc.) which is then in turn connected to the gateway like your TG589vac. Please let me know what is displayed under "Detailed NAT information".Ī couple of more questions: just confirming that the way you are connected is Xbox One Technicolor TG589vac DSL line? An advanced multiplayer diagnostics test will run, which includes a full redetection of the NAT type.
If no error is displayed, before selecting "Continue" press both bumpers and both triggers on the controller at the same time, and then release. If so, please let me know what that error is. It will spin for a minute or so and it may provide an error. In Network settings, select Test multiplayer connection. After configuring port forwarding, what NAT type was displayed under Settings, Network? I'm also curious if you could try the following after you had setup port forwarding: The views of the moderation team do not reflect the view of Microsoft or its subsidiaries.
